How to Use Tallow Balm on Your Face

You can use ChiroLife tallow balm on the face, but begin with less than a pea-sized amount. Patch-test first, keep it away from the eyes and stop using it if irritation develops.

Applying a small amount of ChiroLife balm to the face

Before Applying It to Your Face

Read the current label and check the three listed ingredients: beef tallow, honey and beeswax. A short ingredient list does not remove the possibility of sensitivity or clogged pores.

The product safety information recommends a patch test before first use. Try a small area and wait to see how your skin responds before applying the balm more broadly.

Start With Less Than a Pea-Sized Amount

Warm a very small amount between clean fingertips, then press or massage a thin layer onto the area. Give it time to spread before deciding whether you need more.

If the finish feels heavier than you prefer, reduce the amount at the next application. More product does not guarantee a better cosmetic result.

Fit the Balm Into a Simple Routine

Apply it to clean skin when you want a richer moisturizing texture. If you use sunscreen, makeup or prescribed skincare, allow each layer to settle and follow the directions for those products.

ChiroLife is a cosmetic moisturizer, not a substitute for sunscreen or treatment recommended by a dermatologist.

Know When to Stop

Avoid contact with the eyes. If contact occurs, rinse with water. Stop using the balm if irritation develops.

If you have persistent irritation, acne concerns or a diagnosed skin condition, ask a dermatologist before changing your routine.
